Description

This painting should really be called “the new” Cadzand Bad, this
seaside town in the region of Zeeuws Vlaanderen in the Netherlands has
changed so much over the past decade or so…I painted this in situ on
the beach and paid attention to the details of new features such as the
yacht harbour in the background, various new buildings or extensions and
modern apartments and beach cafés to give a realistic representation of
the resort. Cadzand Bad is growing and thriving! I added some figures
to the scene as it is indeed a lively place and there is always lots
going on.

“Cadzand Bad” was painted en plein air in Zeeuws Vlaanderen on Arches
300g rough watercolour paper using Windsor and Newton paints. It comes
with a warm white mount to fit a standard-size frame of 60x80cm and is
accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
