Description
The mountains that give the Stubai Valley its distinctive skyline are very high. With glacial areas, snow is reliabile here and so it is a popular winter sport region. The highest peak is the “Zuckerhütl” (which translates as “Sugar Cap”) and its glacier peak can be seen here in the distance. The Zuckerhütl is 3507m high. On this January day, the sun is shining on the snow-capped mountain peaks making them glint and sparkle. I painted this painting on location in Tyrol where I had an excellent view across the valley from the village of Patsch.
